Please read these Terms carefully before using MyHouseBar. By creating an account you agree to be bound by them.
By creating an account, accessing, or using MyHouseBar (the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 21 years of age (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher), and that you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and MyHouseBar ("we", "us", "our"). Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
MyHouseBar is an AI-powered cocktail menu and home bar management platform. The Service allows you to:
• Generate AI-crafted cocktail and mocktail recipes based on the bottles you own
• Manage your bottle inventory and shopping list
• Share a public bar menu link with friends and guests
• Host live party sessions where guests can order drinks from their phones
• Connect with friends, share drinks, and receive drink recommendations
The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial home entertaining use unless you hold a Business subscription. Recipe suggestions are for entertainment and informational purposes only. Always drink responsibly and in accordance with local laws.
You must be 21 years of age or older (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction) to use MyHouseBar. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.
MyHouseBar does not sell, distribute, or facilitate the purchase of alcohol. All cocktail recipes, ingredient suggestions, and bar content are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. We are not responsible for how you use the recipes or information provided. Please drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive.
MyHouseBar is currently in private beta. During the beta period:
• Access requires a valid invite code. Codes are non-transferable and for single-use only.
• The Service is provided "as is" without any uptime or feature guarantees.
• We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice.
• Beta feedback you submit may be used to improve the Service. We will not identify you publicly from your feedback without your consent.
• We reserve the right to end the beta program, transition to a paid model, or change pricing at any time. We will give reasonable notice before any paid transition.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at privacy@myhousebar.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You may not:
• Create accounts on behalf of others without their consent
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Use automated tools or bots to create accounts or interact with the Service
• Create more than one personal account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You retain ownership of all content you create within MyHouseBar (bar names, custom drink recipes, photos, messages, etc.) ("User Content").
By submitting User Content, you grant MyHouseBar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, process, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where copies have been made as part of standard backups (which are purged on a rolling basis).
You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights, contain illegal content, or violate these Terms.
MyHouseBar uses third-party AI services (including Anthropic's Claude) to generate cocktail recipes, tasting notes, and drink descriptions. You acknowledge that:
• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation.
• Cocktail recipes are suggestions only — always exercise your own judgment about ingredients, quantities, and preparation techniques.
• AI-generated content is not a substitute for professional bartending advice.
• We do not warrant that AI-generated recipes are original or free from similarity to existing recipes.
We process your bar inventory and inputs with Anthropic to generate personalised recipes. Please review Anthropic's usage policies at anthropic.com.
You agree not to use the Service to:
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Use the Service to train competing AI models or build substantially similar products
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
• Use the Service to facilitate the illegal sale or distribution of alcohol
Certain features require a paid subscription (Pro at $2.99/mo; Business at $29/mo). Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice to affected subscribers.
MyHouseBar and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding User Content and AI-generated content) are owned by MyHouseBar and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The "MyHouseBar" and "My Bar" names, logos, and product designs are proprietary to us. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
AI-generated cocktail recipes produced for your account are provided to you for personal use. We make no claim of copyright ownership over AI-generated output.
Our Privacy Policy (available at myhousebar.app/privacy) describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information. By using the Service you agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
Free-tier accounts may be shown advertisements served by Google AdSense and other ad networks. By using the free tier you consent to the display of such ads. We do not share your personal data with advertisers, but ad networks may use cookies and device identifiers in accordance with their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
The Service integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Anthropic, Replicate, Stripe, Resend, Google, and Meta. Your use of those integrations is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• AI-generated recipes are accurate, safe, or suitable for all users
• The Service will meet your specific requirements
You use the Service at your own risk. We are not responsible for any harm arising from the consumption of alcohol or the preparation of cocktails using information from the Service.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MYHOUSEBAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MyHouseBar and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
You may close your account at any time by emailing privacy@myhousebar.app. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
For any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, you agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting us at privacy@myhousebar.app. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be resolved by binding arbitration in California under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property violations.
You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service before the effective date and may close your account.
